Farm truck at City Slickers Farm, an amazing food access project in West Oakland

Team ROAR has been in sunny Oakland and Berkeley this past week/end learning all about garden education and meeting with amazing producers and food organizers. We’re feeling invigorated from the Edible Schoolyard Project Intensive Conference, inspired from a visit to City Slicker Farms, and full of farmers market ideas after visiting markets here. Huge thanks to all our gracious hosts and hooray for the Bay!

Hopefully we’ve got enough of everything to get us through the week. We’re in Rainier Beach Tuesday at Rainier & Rose, High Point on Wednesday at the P-Patch Market Garden on 32nd & Juneau, Beacon Hill at the Station on Thursday, and Hillman City on Friday. All markets 4-7pm. See you soon!
