Thanks to all the intrepid peddlers who stopped by our table at the Station Block Party on Saturday! So amazing and inspiring to be among the best people and projects happening in South Seattle. Y’all cranked out a record number of bike-powered smoothies, too — check out the whole glorious gallery of smoothie portraits over on Instagram.
Wednesday’s solstice marks the official arrival of SUMMER!!! Our lineup of fruits and veggies reflects the best of what’s fresh above and below ground.
Welcome back *it* vegetable kohlrabi (not a root, don’t believe the hype) and sweet, crunchy Japanese turnips (yes, this one’s a root, but eat the greens too), both from our friends at CityGrown. This will be our last week for Pink Lady apples, but stone fruit is ready so look for Chelan cherries and apriums (apricot + plum hybrid) from Collins Family Orchard. Full fresh list below; catch us in Rainier Beach, Beacon Hill, and Hillman City this week.
